Veteran Wellness, Resilience & Recovery Stand Strong C.P.R.™ is a trauma-informed training and support initiative designed specifically for veterans and their families. Spearheaded by a retired veteran, this program provides lifesaving CPR/AED certification, overdose prevention (including Narcan training), and holistic recovery education rooted in resilience, leadership, and community care. Expanded Focus Areas: Mental Health First Aid & Trauma Recovery Sobriety Support & Drug Prevention Education Rehabilitation Awareness Overdose Recognition, Response & Recovery Pathways Peer Mentorship & Wellness Coaching Crisis Response Skills & Emergency Preparedness Whether transitioning from military service or navigating civilian life, Stand Strong C.P.R.™ affirms the strength of every veteran while equipping them to lead in moments of crisis—and heal in community.

Sterling 1st Aid C.P.R.™ proudly partners with the Dallas Housing Authority to provide free or low-cost life-saving training for residents, seniors, Medicaid and Medicare recipients, and on-site staff. Our certified instructors deliver hands-on education designed to build safety, confidence, and resilience within every housing community. What’s Included Adult, Child & Infant CPR – Learn both hands-only and full CPR techniques for all ages. Opioid Overdose & Narcan Training – Identify signs of overdose and safely respond using naloxone. Emergency Preparedness Training – Gain practical steps to protect your family during fires, storms, or power outages. Who Can Participate Residents and families Seniors and youth programs Medicaid and Medicare recipients Property management and maintenance teams Resident councils and tenant leaders Why It Matters Emergencies happen when we least expect them. By bringing training directly to your property, we help create safer, more connected neighborhoods—especially for older adults, low-income families, and individuals with health challenges—where everyone knows how to respond in a crisis. Reservation Policy To confirm your requested date and secure your instructor, a $25 non-refundable reservation fee is required for all community training sessions. This small fee ensures commitment, covers basic setup materials, and allows us to continue offering free and discounted training opportunities throughout Dallas. Payment is due upon scheduling to reserve your training date. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to allow rebooking. Fee waivers may be available for senior programs and Medicaid/Medicare-supported housing communities.
